Last week, amongst the madness of Thanksgiving, members of the US Conversocial team dedicated an afternoon to help out at their local food bank.
The day consisted of battling hectic pre-holiday transportation to Harlem where the name of the game was to help repack donated food and household goods.
Organized by the Food Bank for New York City, the Conversocial team looked to do their bit addressing the 2.6 million New Yorkers who experience difficulty affording food. An outstanding number and one that continues to increase due food donations dropping and the price of food on the rise.
Every little counts, especially at a time of year when the majority of us are lucky enough to be at home with our families on ‘Turkey Thursday’. The boxes you see in shot were the result of a hard day's work and will hopefully go some way to tackle this very real problem–something that Conversocial will continue to be involved in going forward.
