As I am sure you were aware, last month was the 5th Annual celebration of Mashable’s Social Media Day. Not wanting to miss out on the fun here at Conversocial, we decided to get involved and in true social media style asked our social community to submit a #Converselfie.
Said to be first coined in Australia in 2002, the selfie has become a social media phenomenon with millions of selfies being uploaded daily across social networks and the term was named Oxford Dictionary's word of 2013.The rules were simple;
'Tweet, post or send us your best selfie via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter including our logo/the Conversocial platform for a chance to win a much coveted prize. Just include the hashtag #Converselfie.'
We had loads of great entries, and thought it would be unfair to keep them from the world! So here are our top 10 - including our two winners!
Our two winners!
The team @FGW…
We loved this entry from the team at First Great Western. Their commitment to getting multiple Conversocial logos into one picture is to be admired, with Leo going as far as drawing the logo on his forehead. Great dedication!
..and Mootilda - the Aussie Farmers mascot!
We chose Mootilda as our second winner, all the way from Australia! We also loved the signature long armed selfie pose adopted by Mootilda, ensuring she got the platform in, to qualify for the prize.
A special mention also needs to go to this photogenic lot!
The office went crazy over the adorable Dexter in his Conversocial T-Shirt, submitted by @paulkroberts
@Hertz’s @misslissa91 flashing us a wonderful smile while filling out some Conversocial paperwork.
Menacing or brilliant? Either way we loved @8dayssooner’s entry!
And last, but by no means least, the late team at @Tesco joined in the fun!
The Conversocial team weren’t ones to shy away from the fun either, our offices on both sides of the Atlantic put on their best poses with little encouragement:
A huge thank you to everyone who took part. You can still join the party, just make sure you use #Converselfie when you do!
